Programmer - Game Development | Remote Full Time

We are looking for a senior Unity developer who wants to work remotely for our company in Germany.

In this role, you will be working on a successful IP that sold more than 300.000 times on Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC. We are a small but experienced team and look for a talented developer that can help us to further develop our game Truck & Logistics Simulator.

Responsibilities

  • Design, architect, engineer and implement new complex gameplay mechanics and systems.
  • Write robust, easy to read, maintainable, scalable and efficient code.
  • Enhance, optimize, refactor existing game systems.
  • Wide range of programming: Physics, animation, UI, automation, AI, editor tools and more.
  • Maintain & create tools inside Unity Editor to simplify environment creation, vehicle setup or testing.
  • Effectively profile and optimise game systems.
  • Possibly mentoring junior programmers, sharing knowledge and best practices with other programmers that may join the team in future.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with C# programming for Unity.
  • Good understanding of clean code, OOP, design patterns and principles.
  • Experience working in large-scale projects within a team environment.
  • Being passionate and creative about gameplay, system design.
  • Familiarity with version control systems.
  • Experience using Profiler effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills in English

Nice To Have

  • Passion for simulation games.
  • Prior console development experience.
  • Experience of working in a multiplayer project.
  • Experience with shader programming or using of node based shader creation tools.
  • Familiarity with automation and testing.
  • Experience with creating tools using Unity editor scripting.
  • Experience of working on systems that allow moding support.
  • Strong math skills, knowledge of vectors, matrices and linear algebra.

3D Artist (Full time / Freelance) Possibly Remote

We are looking for 3D artists that have experience in vehicle or hard surface modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Create vehicles like trucks, vans, pickups. Most vehicles will include interiors.
  • Modelling complex loading vehicles like wheel loaders or cranes.
  • Creating trailers or props like cargo assets.
  • Modeling of environment props & buildings for loading / unloading areas.
  • Implementing all the models and materials into Unity engine.

All models will be rich in detail but also highly optimized. They should include efficiently used texture space with PBR materials.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in hard surface modeling & PBR texturing.
  • Knowing how to use Substance Painter, Photoshop or alternatives.
  • Experience with low-poly game-ready modeling and optimization techniques.
  • Strong understanding of efficient UV layouts for low poly objects
  • Basic experience with Unity, knowing how to import assets and configuring PBR materials.
  • Experience in Blender is preferred.
  • Retopology, texture baking experience is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn, take direction and feedback, and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies
